Today I am going to talk about some of my favorite elements.
CAUTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SOME ELEMENTS MAY BE VARY DANGEROUS!!!!!!!!!!
Mercury
So first I'm going to start with my favorite Mercury it is the only metal that is liquid at room temperature. Mercury was and still used in thermometers and thermostats. Even though mercury is a liquid it can turn solid when frozen. But it freezes at -40 degrees Fahrenheit.
Polonium
Next is polonium it was discovered by a polish scientist named Marie Sklodowska Curie in 1898. Polonium is a radioactive foil that is used in antistatic brushes, spinthariscopes, and spark plugs. Polonium does sorta expire. Like in the anti static brushes they had expiration dates.
Titanium
Titanium was discovered by Reverend William Gregor in 1791 and named it after the greek titans. Titanium is used in lots of tools, knifes, and airplane parts. Titanium is great for lots of stuff because it is very strong and very light.
Americium
Americium was discovered by Glenn T. Seaborg, Ralph A. James, Leon O. Morgan and Albert Ghiorso in 1944. The only real use for americium is in smoke detectors they detect the smoke. Besides that their is really no use for it.
