The Milky Way (YUM)

Milky Way Galaxy, commonly referred to as just the Milky Way, or sometimes simply as the Galaxy , is the galaxy in which theSolar System is located. The Milky Way is a barred spiral galaxy that is part of the Local Group of galaxies. It is one of hundreds of billions of galaxies.
The disk of the Milky Way Galaxy is approximately 100,000 light-years in diameter.
In 2007, a star in the Galactic halo, HE 1523-0901, was estimated to be about 13.2 billion years old, nearly as old as the Universe.

Constellations!!!!!!!!!

Hey guy's today we will be talking about a constellation you all might have heard of Orion. There are two stories about Orion and how he died. The first one is that Orion was a very famed hunter and he bragged that no creature could kill him so then Hera sent a scorpion to sting the hunter. Orion then smashed the scorpion with his club but it poisoned him before he could kill it.

Now the other story. One day, Orion was swimming in the sea. Apollo who very much disliked the man, bet his sister that she couldn't hit the object in the sea with her bow. Artemis didn't realize it was her lover, and shot Orion with an arrow. When she later found out what she had done she honored the hunter by putting him in the sky

Here's Mr.braggy pant's Orion

And here's what he deserved

And now to answer Mr.Sellers question. Why do the position of the constellations change throughout the year?
This is because the earth is traveling around the sun. This means that the portion of the sky that is opposite of the sun is changing throughout the year. The Earth is revolving.

And to the second question. What is the largest and smallest constellation?
The largest constellation is Hydra and the smallest is Crux the cross.

And the the third and final question. What are circumpolar constellations?
Circumpolar means to circle around the pole. Circumpolar stars or constellations daily trace circles around the north celestial pole, without setting or dipping below the horizon.

Now to finish with a cool pic of Orion.
